VW Hard to be a car

Volkswagen wanted to take advantage of the Euro 2016, a tournament held every four years and, in 2016, was held in France. In order to emphasize their support and proximity to football fans, Volkswagen wanted to create a film that showed how much they understood this target and their emotions. The spot focuses on the hard life that a car faces during the month-long championship, subjected to the disappointment, anger and excitement dedicated fans feel depending on the results. Any car can fall victim to supporters’ overwhelming emotions but Volkswagen, as the film shows, is able to withstand the duress.
